Wo khoof-o-ranjish, Udaas chehry, Udaas ankhain
Udaas retain, Udaas bistar
Tumhari yaadon ko yaad kar ky
Tumhi ko tum sy hi mangty hain
Tumhari aankhon sy haar kar ab
Mery badan ki wo timtimati
Woh kapkapati udaas shakhain
Teri hawaon ny toor dalien
Tumhain khabar ho keh zindagi ki
Sabhi umeedain, sabhi wafai’n
Udaas shamoo’n main dhal chuki hain
Woh mar chuki hain
