غزل
کسی کو دکھ یہ الم آشنا نہیں دیتے
وفا شعار کسی کو دغا نہیں دیتے
کسی سزا سے گریزاں تو ہم نہیں لیکن
ہمارا جرم ہمیں کیوں بتا نہیں دیتے؟
ثواب ہیں تو نہیں قدر کیوں زمانے میں؟
جو عیب ہیں تو ہمیں کیوں چھپا نہیں دیتے؟
کرو نہ دعویٔ تکمیلِ عشق بھولے سے
تم اپنے آپ کو جب تک مٹا نہیں دیتے
تباہی و غم و رسوائی اس کا حاصل ہے
یہ سوچتے ہیں تو درسِ وفا نہیں دیتے
جو تیرے ساتھ بہشتِ نگاہ لگتے تھے
تِرے بغیر وہ منظر مزہ نہیں دیتے
دلوں کو کرتے ہیں تسخیر اہلِ دل فاتح
گرہ سے کچھ بھی یہ شیریں نوا نہیں دیتے
