Welcome To Alifadab. As we all know Eid Ul Adha is the most important festival of the Muslim Community. This festival is a festival of sacrifice. On this holiday, the prophet Ibrahim is remembered for his willingness to sacrifice his son at God’s command. Now the Question is When is Eid Ul Adha 2024?
When is Eid Ul Adha 2024?
Monday, June 17, 2024, is expected to be the celebration day for Eid ul Adha 2024, also known as Bakra Eid 2024. This is a tentative date because the precise date depends on seeing the moon in Dhul Hijjah, 1445, which is the last month in the Islamic calendar and the 12th month overall.

What is the story of Eid ul-Adha?
Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid ul Adha to remember the sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) made because of his everlasting trust in Allah.
Prophet Ismail (A.S.) was willingly offered as a sacrifice by Ibrahim (AS), but Allah substituted a lamb for his son. Ibrahim’s (A.S.) obedience to Allah pleased Him so much that He set this act of faith and sacrifice as a pillar of a Muslim’s life. The Quran mentions this incident in Surah As-Saffat (37:102).
For this reason, Muslims worldwide commemorate Eid ul Azha on the tenth of Dhul Hijjah each year. Muslims sacrifice a lamb, sheep, goat, or camel on this day in remembrance of Ibrahim (AS).
Both Eid al Fitr and Eid Al-Adha hold great significance in Islam, as indicated by the following Hadith of Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.):
“Allah has given you better than those feasts (festivals of non-believers): the ‘Eid-ul-Adha’ and ‘Eid-ul-Fitr.’”
(An-Nasai: 1556)
Eid al-Adha and Eid ul-Fitr are prohibited for fasting, as the following Hadiths of our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.) make clear:
“No fasting is permissible on the two days of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.”
