اب مزید اس سے یہ رشتہ نہیں رکھا جاتا
جس سے اک شخص کا پردہ نہیں رکھا جاتا
ایک تو بس میں نہیں تجھ سے محبت نہ کروں
اور پھر ہاتھ بھی ہلکا نہیں رکھا جاتا
پڑھنے جاتا ہوں تو تسمے نہیں باندھے جاتے
گھر پلٹتا ہوں تو بستہ نہیں رکھا جاتا

Jis sy ik shakhs ka parda nahi rakha jata
Aik to bas main nahi tujh sy mohabbat na karon
Aor phir hath bhi halka nahi rakha jata
Padhny jata hon to tasmy nahi bandhy jaty
Ghar palat’ta hon to basta nahi rakha jata
