تمھیں لگتا ہے بے سر ہو گیا ہوں
میں بے سر ہو کے لشکر ہو گیا ہوں
میرا زندان سے احوال پوچھو
میں دیواروں کو ازبر ہو گیا ہوں
کہا بھی تھا کہ دریا مت کہا کر
میں اپنے سر سے اوپر ہو گیا ہوں
نہیں لگتا میرا دل اپنے دل میں
میں اپنے گھر میں بے گھر ہو گیا ہوں
مجھے شِہ دل نجف سے نسبتیں ہیں
میں زر تھا گزر گیا ہوں
اپنے ہر ظلم کو یہ اپنا ہنر گنتے ہیں
آج کے شِمر بھی کاٹے ہوئے سر گنتے ہیں
ہم کو پاگل نہ کہیں لوگ تو کیا اور کہیں
ہم جو صحراؤں میں پھرتے ہیں ، شجر گنتے ہیں
