نئی رسم الفت نبھائی گئی ہے
جنم دن پہ برسی منائی گئی ہے
درختوں پہ دھاگوں سے لگتا یہی ہے
کسی کی تو منّت منائی گئی ہے
بچھڑنے پہ قدموں کی وہ سُنسناہٹ
رَگوں کو میری بھی سنائی گئی ہے
دسمبر کی راتیں جسے ڈھونڈتی ہیں
وہ خوابوں سے اپنے جگائی گئی ہے
مرا جسم دھاگوں میں اُلجھا ہوا ہے
کوئی تو پہیلی سُجھائی گئی ہے
فقط شہر کی رونقوں کے لئے کیوں؟
میرے دل کی بستی جلائی گئی ہے
خسارا ہوا۔۔۔عمربھر زندگی سے
فقط موت ہی تو کمائی گئی ہے
تیرا زیب تجھ کو کبھی نہ ملے گا
سنا ہے کہانی مٹائی گئی ہے
