غزل
غزل محفل میں گاؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
حسیں نظمیں سناؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
دعائیں التجائیں رب سے ہوں گی اپنے بارے میں
جبیں سجدے میں لاؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
ضرورت جب پڑی اپنی تو ساقی بے خیالی میں
ارے مشفق بلاؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
زمانہ جب ستائے گا معاون کی طلب لے کر
ہمارے گھر میں آؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
ہماری موت کی ناگاہ سن کر تم خبر ساجن
جنازہ پڑھنے آؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
خوشی کا موسمِ گل بھی غموں کی دھوپ بھی ہو گی
اگر محفل سجاؤ گے مگر ہم کو نہ پاؤ گے
