غزل
خاموش رہ کے حریفوں سے انتقام لیے
یوں انتقام کے بدلے بھی احترام لیے
ہم ایسے لوگ تو اپنے بھی کام آ نہ سکے
ہمارے نام سے لوگوں نے کتنے کام لیے
اسی جنوں میں کسی اور کو بھی کھونا پڑا
کسی کو چوم رہے تھے کسی کا نام لیے
اُس ایک مہنگی حسینہ سے سستے شاعروں سے
فقط کلام کیا اور کئی کلام لیے
ہمارا حلقہ احباب یوں بھی کافی ہے
جو گر رہے تھے کہیں سے بھی ہم نے تھام لیے
مجھے پتہ تو ہو افکار کتنا قیمتی ہے
مجھے بتا تو سہی میرے کتنے دام لیے

Youn intiqaam ky badly bhi ehtaram liye
Ham aisy log to apny bhi kaam aa na saky
Hamary naam sy logon ny kitny kaam liye
Isi janoon main kisi aor ko bhi khoona pada
Kisi ko choom rahy thy kisi ka naam liye
Us aik mehangi haseena ny sasty shayaron sy
Faqat kalam kia aor kai kalam liye
Hamara halka-e-ahbab youn bhi kafi hy
Jo girr rahy thy kahi sy bhi ham ny thaam liye
Mujhy pata to ho AFKAR kitna qeemati hy
Mujhy bata to sahi mery kitny daam liye
