غزل
یہ تکلیف رہے گی خستہ حالوں کو
تُو نے جا چمکایا ہے کن کالوں کو
پاؤں پکڑ کر لوگ گرانا چاہتے ہیں
ذہن چلا کر آگے بڑھنے والوں کو
اُلٹی چال کا آسرا لینا پڑتا ہے
سیدھی بات سمجھ نہیں آتی سالوں کو
بیٹھے بیٹھے یوں ہی کسی کا ذکر چلا
چلتے چلتے بھول گئے سب چھالوں کو
ربط ضروری ہوتا ہے شرمندہ ہوں
آنے والو زنگ لگا ہے تالوں کو
کوئی تو جا کر پوچھے حُسن کی پریوں سے
کیا ملتا ہے رول کے بھولے بھالوں کو
رکھوالوں کے خواب میں لاشیں بولیں گی
نیند نہیں کرنی ہوتی رکھوالوں کو

Yeh takleef rahy gi khasta haalon ko
Tu ny ja chamkaya hy kin kaalon ko
Pao’n pakar kar log girana chahty hain
Zehn chala kar aagy badhany walon ko
Ulti chaal ka aasra lena padhta hy
Seedhi bat samajh nahi aati saalo’n ko
Baithy baithy youn hi kisi ka zikar chala
Chalty chalty bhool gaye sab chaalo’n ko
Rabt zaroori hota hy sharminda hon
Aany walo zang laga hy taalon ko
Koi to ja kar pochy hussan ki parrio’n sy
Kia milta hy rool ky bholy bhalon ko
Rakhwalon ky khuab main lashain bolain gi
Neend nahi karni hoti rakhwaalo’n ko
