Urdu Novel Maine Khwabon Ka Shajar Dekha Hai By Umera Ahmed is a collection of six spiritual short stories with strong and unique content. The story of this novel revolves around three central characters: Umar, Shehla, and Sarah. A cousin relationship existed between Umar and Shehla, with Shehla being six years younger than Umar. Both lived happily just like siblings. Umar desired to wed his classmate Sarah, but his mother did not favor Sarah. She wants to see Shehla as her daughter-in-law.
Umar and Sarah’s families approved of their marriage at their insistence. Umar’s mother wasn’t quite on board with this relationship. Sheila loved Umar and desired to wed him, but she remained silent despite this choice. Umar’s mother instigated the family’s arguments. Shehla fully endorses her in this conspiracy. They both started critiquing everything Sarah did. Finally, Umar found himself having to divorce Sarah. The plot took a turn at this point, leaving the reader bewildered.
After a few days of their wedding, Shehla argued with Umar and demanded to live in a different house. Divorce also resulted from this relationship. Umar once discovered Sarah in a hospital. He still feels love for her. He was aware that Sarah had wed an unkind man who frequently beat her. Sarah visited the hospital and removed one of his wounds.
Umar notified Sarah’s family of her husband’s actions. The fact that Sarah had remarried thrilled him as much as her family. Thus, they began living together once more. The tale concluded victoriously. Umera Ahmad wrote on a contemporary social topic. The community always criticizes love marriages. Everyone is free to express their opinions, except the engaged pair. The public doesn’t need to know a boy or girl’s will.
