کیا خبر اُس روشنی میں اور کیا روشن ہوا؟
جب وہ ان ہاتھوں سے پہلی مرتبہ روشن ہوا
وہ میرے سینے سے لگ کر جس کو روئی وہ کون تھا؟
کس کے بجھنے پر میں آج اُس کی جگہ روشن ہوا
ویسے میں ان راستوں اور طاقچوں کا تھا نہیں
پھر بھی تُو نے جس جگہ پر رکھ دیا روشن ہوا
میرے جانے پر سبھی روئے بہت روئے مگر
اک دیا میری توقع سے سوا روشن ہوا
تیرے اپنے تیری کرنوں کو ترستے ہیں یہاں
تُو یہ کن گلیوں میں کن لوگوں میں جا روشن ہوا؟

Kia khabar us rooshni main aor kia roshan hoa?
Jab woh in hathon sy pehli martaba roshan hoa
Woh mery seeny sy lag kar jis ko roi woh kon tha?
Kis ky bujhny par main aj us ki jaga roshan hoa?
Wesy main un raaston aor taaqchon ka tha nahi
Phir bhi tu ny jis jaga par rakh dia roshan hoa
Mery jany par sabhi roye, bohat roye magar
Ik diya meri tawako sy siwa roshan hoa
Tery apny teri kirno’n ko tarasty hain yahan
Tu ye kin galion main kin logon main ja roshan hoa?
