غزل
اشکِ ناداں سے کہو بعد میں پچھتائیں گے
آپ گر کر میری آنکھوں سے کدھر جائیں گے؟
اپنے لفظوں کو تکلم سے گرا کر جاناں
اپنے لہجے کی تھکاوٹ میں بکھر جائیں گے
تم سے لے جائیں گے ہم چھین کے وعدے اپنے
اب تو قسموں کی صداقت سے بھی ڈر جائیں گے
اک تیرا گھر تھا میری حدِ مسافت لیکن
اب یہ سوچا ہے کہ ہم حد سے گُزر جائیں گے
اپنے افکار جلا ڈالیں گے کاغذ کاغذ
سوچ مر جائے گی تو ہم آپ بھی مر جائیں گے
اس سے پہلے کہ جدائی کی خبر تم سے ملے
ہم نے سوچا ہے کہ ہم تم سے بچھڑ جائیں گے

Aap gir kar meri aankhon sy kidhar jain gy?
Apny lafzon ko takallum sy gira kar jana
Apny lehjy ki thakawat main bikhar jain gy
Tum su ly jain gy ham cheen ky waady apny
Ab to qasmoo’n ki sadaqat sy bhi dar jain gy
Ik tera ghar tha meri had-e-musafat lekin
Ab yeh socha hy keh ham had sy guzar jain gy
Apny afkar jala dalain gy kaghaz kaghaz
Soch mar jaye gi to ham ap bhi mar jain gy
Is sy pehly keh judaai ki khabar tum sy milly
