غزل
میں خواہشوں کے عذاب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں
وہ دل وہ خانہ خراب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں
میں چھوڑ کر اپنی رہ تکتی اُداس آنکھیں
جو بچ گئے تھے وہ خواب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں
بس اک اجل کو سُنا گیا ہوں جو داستاں تھی
میں زندگی سے حساب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں
جس پہ میں نے محبتوں کی وحی لکھی تھی
وہ ایک ممنون کتاب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں
میں قافلوں کو دکھا گیا ہوں نشانِ منزل
میں راستوں کے سراب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں
انھیں کہوں کہ میں ڈھونڈنے سے نہیں ملوں گا
میں گردِ راہ کی نقاب لے کر چلا گیا ہوں

Woh dill woh khana kharab ly kar chala gia hon
Main choodh kar apni raah takti udaas aankhain
Jo bach gaye thy woh khuaab ly kar chala gia hon
Jis py main ny mohabbaton ki wahi likhi thi
Woh aik mamnoon kitaab ly kar chala gia hon
Bas aik ajal ko suna gia hon jo daastaa’n thi
Main zindagi sy hisaab ly kr chala gia hon
Mai qaafilon ko dikha gia hon nishan-e-manzil
Main raaston ky sarab ly kar chala gia hon
Unhain kaho keh main dhondny sy nahi milon ga
