گلے تو لگنا ہے اُسے کہو ابھی لگ جائے
یہی نہ ہو میرا اُس کے بغیر جی لگ جائے
میں آ رہا ہوں تیرے پاس یہ نہ ہو کہ کہیں
تیرا مزاق ہو اور میری زندگی لگ جائے
اگر کوئی تیری رفتار ماپنے نکلے
دماغ کیا ہے جہانوں کی روشنی لگ جائے
تو ہاتھ اُٹھا نہیں سکتا تو میرا ہاتھ پکڑ
تجھے دُعا نہیں لگتی تو شاعری لگ جائے
پتا کروں گا اندھیرے میں کس سے ملتا ہے؟
اور اس عمل میں مجھے چاہے آگ بھی لگ جائے
ہمارے ہاتھ ہی جلتے رہیں گے سگریٹ سے؟
کبھی تمہارے بھی کپڑوں پہ استری لگ جائے
ہر ایک بات کا مطلب نکالنے والو
تمہارے نام کے آگے نہ مطلبی لگ جائے
کلاس روم ہو یا حشر کیسے ممکن ہے؟
ہمارے ہوتے تیری غیر حاضری لگ جائے
