پہلے پہل لڑیں گے تمسخر اُڑائیں گے
جب عشق دیکھ لیں گے تو سر پر بٹھائیں گے
تُو تو پھر اپنی جان ہے تیرا تو ذکر کیا
ہم تیرے دوستوں کے بھی نخرے اُٹھائیں گے
یہ اہتمام اور کسی کے لئے نہیں
طعنے تمہارے نام کے ہم پر ہی آئیں گے
قبلہ کوئی تو تازہ سخن بھی کریں عطا
یہ چار پانچ غزلیں ہی کب تک سُنائیں گے؟

Pehly pehl ladain gy tamaskhar udaain gy
Jab ishq daikh lain gy to sar par bithain gy
Tu to phir apni jaan hy tera to zikr kia
Ham tery doston ky bhi nakhry uthain gy
Ye ehtamam aor kisi ky lie nahi
Taany tumhary naam ky ham par hi aain gy
Qibla koi to taza sukhan bhi karain atta
Yeh chaar panch ghazlain hi kab tak sunain gy?
