غرورِ نار میرے پاؤں میں پڑا ہوا تھا
میں خاک تھا سو میرا مرتبہ بڑھا ہوا تھا
میرے خلاف تیرے کان کیوں نہ بھرتے یہ لوگ
تیری جبیں پہ میرا نام جو لکھا ہوا تھا
میں چاہتا تو زُبانیں خاموش کر دیتا
مگر میں چُپ تھا تیرے حُکم پر رُکا ہوا

Main khaak tha so mera martaba badha hoa tha
Mery khilaaf tery kaan kion na bharty yeh log
Teri Jabeen py mera naam jo likha hoa tha
Main chahta to Zubanain khaamosh kr deta
Magar main chup tha tery hukam par ruka hoa
